Jarvis Local privacy policy

Jarvis Local is a private desktop assistant used by the operator of Horizon Civil Consulting, a service operated by Horizon Systems, LLC. It is not offered for public sign-up.

Google data accessed

With the account owner's authorization, Jarvis may read Gmail messages and metadata. When separately connected, it may read selected Google Drive files and metadata and Google Calendar information. A separate Gmail send permission may be used to send a message the owner requests.

How data is used

Jarvis uses this data to answer owner requests, produce bounded email reviews and possible work or deadline alerts, locate requested files, and prepare or complete owner-requested email actions. Automatic Gmail review uses a model running on the owner's computer. Jarvis does not use Google data for advertising or sell it.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials are stored on the owner's Windows computer using Windows user account protection. Mail review records and selected summaries are also stored locally and may be included in the owner's backups. Data remains until the owner removes it from the computer and applicable backups; there is no guaranteed automatic deletion period.

Sharing and control

Jarvis communicates with Google's APIs to perform the authorized functions and sends mail to the recipients the owner specifies. It does not share Google data with advertisers. The owner may disconnect the local authorization and revoke access from the Google Account permissions page. The owner controls which account is connected and which email actions are requested.
